Baseball in the Bathtub

One morning at 8 a.m., Ken is in the bathroom. He sits in the bathtub. His father walks in and sees him. Ken is wearing his baseball cap. His father is surprised and asks, "What are you doing in the bathtub?" Ken smiles and says, "I am practicing baseball!" His father looks around. "Baseball in the bathtub? Where is the ball?" Ken holds up a bar of soap. "Here it is! Our coach said, 'Catch the soap. It is slippery, just like a baseball!'"

A Very Clean Bathroom

One sunny morning, Mr. Davis heard a knock on his front door. He opened it and saw Leo, the seven-year-old boy from next door. Leo looked up with a polite smile and asked, 'Excuse me, may I please use your bathroom?' Mr. Davis felt happy because the boy was so polite. He quickly guided Leo into his house. After a few minutes, Leo came out with clean hands. He bowed and said, 'Thank you very much, sir!' Mr. Davis smiled and asked, 'You are welcome, Leo. But your home is just next door. Why didn't you use your own bathroom?' Leo stepped closer and whispered, 'Well, my mother just cleaned our bathroom. She said it is spotless, and she will be very angry if anyone uses it!'

A Day Out with a Penguin

One sunny morning, a man was walking down the street when he found a penguin. He did not know what to do, so he walked around with it. Soon, a police officer saw him and stopped him. "You cannot keep that wild animal!" the officer said. "Take that penguin to the zoo right now!" The man nodded and promised he would. However, the next afternoon, the officer saw the same man again. He was still walking with the penguin, and both of them were wearing cool sunglasses! The officer ran over and shouted angrily, "Why do you still have that bird? I told you to take him to the zoo yesterday!" The man smiled calmly and explained, "Well, officer, I did take him to the zoo yesterday, and he loved it! So today, I am taking him to the beach!"

A Warning in the Dark

At 2:00 a.m., a burglar quietly broke into a dark, luxurious house while the owners were away on vacation. Creeping across the living room with his flashlight, he suddenly froze when a strange voice whispered from the shadows, "Jesus is watching you!" Terrified, the burglar turned off his light and held his breath. When nothing happened, he cautiously clicked the flashlight back on and aimed it toward the corner. To his relief, he spotted a small parrot perched on a stand, cleaning its sharp beak. "Did you speak to me?" the burglar whispered, feeling silly. "Yes," the bird squawked proudly. "I am just warning you that Jesus is watching." The burglar chuckled, brushing off his fear. "Oh, really? And what is your name, bird?" "My name is Moses," the parrot answered. "Moses?" the burglar laughed softly. "What kind of foolish person names a parrot Moses?" The bird tilted its head and replied calmly, "The very same person who named the giant guard dog sleeping in the bathroom Jesus."

A Day Out with a Penguin

One afternoon, a police officer was patrolling near a crowded beach. He noticed a man walking slowly along the sidewalk with a large penguin beside him. The penguin was calmly waddling, but people were staring in surprise. The officer stopped his car and approached the man. "Excuse me, sir," he said. "You cannot walk around town with a wild creature. It belongs in a proper environment. You should take that penguin to the zoo immediately!" The man nodded politely and promised that he would do so. Relieved, the police officer returned to his vehicle and drove away, assuming the matter was settled. However, at ten a.m. the next morning, the officer was patrolling the exact same street. To his astonishment, he spotted the man and the penguin again. This time, both of them were wearing sunglasses, and the penguin was holding a small colorful towel under its flipper. The officer rushed over, feeling quite annoyed. "Hey! I thought I told you to take that animal to the zoo yesterday!" The man smiled cheerfully and replied, "Oh, I did take him to the zoo yesterday, officer! We had such a wonderful time that today I'm taking him to the beach!"

The Guaranteed Fly Trap

On a sunny morning at 10:00 a.m., an eccentric street vendor stood in the central square, surrounded by curious pedestrians. He enthusiastically waved a tiny cardboard box, claiming that it contained a revolutionary insect trap capable of eliminating any persistent housefly. Intrigued by such bold advertising, an unsuspecting gentleman decided to purchase the gadget for five dollars, hoping to resolve his pest problem at home. Upon returning to his apartment, he rushed past the bathroom, entered the kitchen, and eagerly opened the parcel. Inside, he discovered nothing more than two small, polished blocks of cedar wood accompanied by a folded sheet of paper. Thinking this was an outrageous scam, the man read the printed instructions aloud. Step one instructed him to wait patiently until the target fly landed on Block A. Step two directed him to place Block B firmly on top of Block A and press them together rapidly. Stunned by the brazen audacity of the product, he realized that he had spent five dollars on two plain wooden blocks when a rolled-up newspaper would have served the exact same purpose. Unable to contain his amusement, his initial irritation dissolved into laughter, proving that even a foolish bargain can occasionally provide an unforgettable punchline.
