A Busy Morning
Ken wakes up at 7:00 a.m. He looks at the clock. Oh no, he thinks. He jumps out of bed. His brother is still sleeping. Ken washes his face quickly. He puts on his school uniform and takes his bag. He runs down to the kitchen. Mom, I am late for school! Ken shouts. His mother looks at him with a big smile. Ken, it is Sunday today. There is no school. His brother walks in and laughs. Ken goes back to his bed.

A Very Big Trouble
A young boy walked into a grocery store at nine a.m. looking for a job. The store manager smiled and asked him several questions to see if he was clever enough. First, the manager asked, 'Where is God?' The boy did not answer. The manager asked again, louder, 'Where is God?' The boy stayed quiet. Finally, the manager shouted, 'Where is God?' The boy ran out of the store, went straight home, and ran into his bedroom. His older brother followed him and asked what was wrong. The boy whispered, 'We are in big trouble! God is missing, and they think we did it!'

The Power of Broccoli
One evening, a young boy named Leo sat at the dinner table with his older brother, Tom. Leo was staring at his plate with an unhappy face because it was full of green broccoli. 'You must finish your vegetables,' their mother said kindly. 'Broccoli makes your muscles strong, like a boxing champion!' Leo looked at his brother and asked, 'Is that true? Can green trees really make me strong?' Tom laughed and replied, 'Of course. If you eat them, you can win any match tomorrow.' Leo thought carefully for a moment. Then, he pushed his plate across the table toward Tom. 'What are you doing?' Tom asked in surprise. Leo smiled proudly and said, 'You always complain about your loud alarm clock at 6:00 a.m. If you eat this broccoli, you will have enough power to fight the clock and win!' Even their mother could not stop laughing.

The Most Special Gift
Three brothers left their hometown and became very successful. One day, they met to discuss the special gifts they had sent to their elderly mother. The first brother said, "I built a huge house for Mom so she can live comfortably." The second brother said, "I bought her a luxury car with a private driver to take her anywhere." The third brother smiled and said, "You both know that Mom loves reading books, but her eyesight is getting worse. I found an extraordinary parrot that can read any book aloud! It took trainers twelve years to teach it, and it cost me a fortune." A few weeks later, the brothers received thank-you notes from their mother. To the first son, she wrote, "The house is far too large. I only use one room, and cleaning it is exhausting." To the second son, she wrote, "I rarely travel anymore, so the car just stays in the garage." To the third son, she wrote, "My dearest boy, you truly know what your mother loves. That chicken was absolutely delicious!"

Heaven or the Hospital?
One sunny morning around ten a.m., an athletic young man who enjoyed boxing suddenly fainted on a busy sidewalk. His brother and his boyfriend were walking nearby and quickly rushed to help him. They immediately called for an ambulance because he was completely unconscious. Within minutes, the medical team arrived and carried him to the nearest city hospital. In the emergency room, the doctors worked swiftly to examine his breath and heart rate. After several tense moments, the patient slowly moved his hands and opened his eyes. Looking up at the bright white lights and the doctors dressed in spotless coats, he felt deeply confused. With a weak voice, he whispered, "Excuse me, am I in heaven?" His brother smiled, relieved to see him awake, and replied, "No, you are still alive. You are just in the hospital." Hearing this, the man closed his eyes again and let out a heavy sigh. "Oh dear," he muttered, "if I am still alive, that means I actually have to pay the medical bill!" The whole room burst into cheerful laughter.

A Productive Morning Painting Job
Around 8 a.m. one sunny Saturday, an unemployed man knocked on the front door of an impressive suburban residence, hoping to find casual labor. A prosperous homeowner answered the door, wearing a comfortable brown cardigan. The homeowner looked at the visitor thoughtfully, appreciating his genuine determination to seek honest work. "Well, you can certainly do some exterior painting for me," the homeowner offered. "Behind the building, there is a spacious porch that desperately needs refreshing. I have already placed a large bucket of durable green paint and a clean brush in the garage. If you manage to complete the task thoroughly, I will gladly pay you one hundred dollars." The eager worker accepted the proposal immediately and headed toward the garage to collect the equipment. Meanwhile, the homeowner returned comfortably to his study to enjoy the morning newspaper, quite pleased with their practical arrangement. A little before 10 a.m., an energetic knock echoed from the entrance. Astonished by such swift progress, the homeowner opened the door. The worker smiled proudly, wiping a few accidental splatters of green paint from his forehead. "Everything is finished," the man announced, returning the empty bucket and the rinsed brush. "The paint adhered wonderfully, and two layers were sufficient to cover the whole vehicle—I mean, the whole area." "That was exceptionally fast," the homeowner remarked, reaching into his pocket to retrieve crisp bills. "Indeed," the worker said, pocketing the cash with a polite nod. "Oh, and by the way, you should probably know that it isn't actually a porch. It's a Porsche—and someone accidentally left the convertible roof down!"
