Plastic trash is very bad for the Earth. Many plastic bags go into the sea every year. Sea turtles and fish eat this trash by mistake. This hurts them and makes the ocean dirty. We can help our planet easily. When you go to a supermarket, always take your own bag. Put your items into your bag. Do not take free plastic bags. Also, bring your plastic bottles back home to recycle them. Small actions can make a big difference. Let us protect our Earth together.
プラスチックごみは地球環境に深刻な悪影響を与えています。毎年、非常に多くのレジ袋が海へと流れ込んでおり、ウミガメや魚がそれをエサと間違えて食べてしまうことがあります。その結果、動物たちが傷つき、海も汚れてしまいます。しかし、私たちは身近なことから簡単に地球を救うことができます。例えば、スーパーへ買い物に行くときは、必ずマイバッグを持参して購入した商品をそこに入れ、無料のレジ袋をもらわないようにしましょう。また、飲み終わったペットボトルは家に持ち帰り、しっかりと分別してリサイクルに回すことも大切です。一人ひとりの小さな行動が集まれば、大きな変化を起こせます。みんなで一緒に、かけがえのない地球を守りましょう。

Small Bags, Big Changes
Plastic waste is a big problem around the world. Every year, millions of tons of plastic go into the ocean. This trash is bad for animals because they eat it and get hurt. Also, plastic does not break down easily. It takes hundreds of years to disappear. However, each of us can make a difference. First, we can stop using single-use plastic items. When you go shopping, take a reusable cloth bag with you. You can put an extra bag inside your backpack every morning. Also, bring your own water bottle to school. These small habits can protect nature and bring a clean future back to our planet.

Saying Goodbye to Plastic Bags
Every day, millions of people get a plastic bag at supermarkets and convenience stores. These bags are very light and convenient, but they cause a bad effect on our earth. Most plastic does not break down for hundreds of years. When people drop bags outside, the wind often blows them into rivers and oceans. Sea animals, such as turtles and birds, mistake the floating bags for food. If they eat this plastic trash, they can become very sick or even die. To solve this problem, we must change our daily habits. Whenever you visit a store, put your groceries into a backpack or a reusable cloth bag. Try to bring back your own bag every time, and say no to free plastic wrappers. Small actions like this will surely protect the green future of our planet.
毎日、何百万人もの人々がスーパーやコンビニでレジ袋を受け取っています。レジ袋は軽くてとても便利ですが、地球に深刻な悪影響を与えています。ほとんどのプラスチックは何百年も自然には分解されません。屋外に捨てられた袋は、風に吹かれて川や海へと流れていきます。ウミガメや鳥などの海の生き物は、海面に浮かぶ袋を食べ物だと勘違いしてしまいます。もしこのプラスチックごみを食べてしまうと、重い病気にかかったり、命を落としたりすることさえあります。この問題を解決するには、私たち一人ひとりの生活習慣を見直すことが大切です。買い物をするときは、バックパックや布製のエコバッグに品物を入れるようにしましょう。毎回マイバッグを持参し、無料のプラスチック袋を断るように心がけてみてください。そうした小さな積み重ねが、地球の豊かな未来を守ることにつながるのです。

Instead of maintaining a heavy reliance on fossil fuels, this small Central American nation produces over ninety-eight percent of its electricity from clean sources. The country relies primarily on hydropower generated by flowing rivers, but geothermal energy from active volcanoes and strong wind power also transform the regional power grid. In addition to clean energy, Costa Rica reversed decades of bad deforestation through smart environmental laws. The government pays landowners to protect forests, turning damaged lands back into rich rainforests. Today, protected national parks cover more than a quarter of the nation, providing habitats for diverse wildlife and absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. These changes also influence everyday habits. Citizens readily pack a reusable bag into a backpack when they walk to school or local markets, avoiding single-use plastics entirely.
